[Aims and Scope]
Good transportation networks are a key to liveable cities. The course aims to equip students with a broad understanding of the problems faced in today’s networks. Often mentioned desired aspects are qualities such as Accessibility, Reliability and Sustainability. The various aspects of these and other terms are discussed. This is integrated with a discussion on the tools available to transportation planners to achieve such objectives. The course will be given in English and students will be asked to make presentations.[Outline]
