Application for Position of Research Assistant under Global COE Program
- AIM OF THE FELLOWSHIP
The purpose of this fellowship is to provide opportunities for currently enrolled doctoral course students to conduct research related to the Global COE Program: “International Urban Earthquake Engineering Center for Mitigating Seismic Mega Risk”.
- NUMBER OF FELLOWSHIPS AWARDED
Fifteen (15)
- APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY
The applicant must be a full-time student of doctorate course in one of the five departments comprising the Global COE program, and be able and willing to conduct research related to the Global COE Program: “International Urban Earthquake Engineering Center for Mitigating Seismic Mega Risk”. Those who are receiving, or are about receive, other financial support are not eligible and may not apply.
- DURATION AND TERMS
- 2009 Duration: From Apr. 1st, 2009 (or as soon as possible after that date) to March 31st, 2010. - The amount of the fellowship will be about 100,000-200,000 yen/ month (1,000,000-2,400,000 yen/ year) depending on the quality of research proposal and previous research achievement.

Applications for this program should be submitted to one of the two offices indicated below.

(2) A PDF-file of the application form (send to apply@cuee.titech.ac.jp)
- APPLICATION DEADLINE
The deadline for the application is Jan 30th, 2009, till 5pm (JST) for implementation as of Apr. 1st, 2009. If the positions are not filled by this deadline, we will continue to receive application until all positions are filled.
However, please postmark the application two months in advance of the day you expect to start. Do not hesitate to contact the supervisory office at CUEE for further information.
- SELECTION PROCESS
After documentary screening and interview, the applicant will be informed directly of his/ her result.
