Support System and Scholarship

Financial Support System for Outstanding Graduate Students and Young Researchers

Extensive financial support including scholarships and research assistantships with research funds as well as funds to participate in international research projects and workshops will be offered to outstanding students and young researchers as follows:

1. Overseas Students enrolling in Integrated Doctoral Education Program (Master-Doctoral Course) of International Program on Earthquake Engineering: Japanese Government Scholarship (155,000 JPY/month, up to about 5 persons) with waiver of admission and tuition fees.

2. Overseas and domestic students enrolling In Doctoral Course of International Program on Earthquake Engineering: Assignment of Research Assistants  (100,000-200,000 JPY/month, up to about 15 persons) with research funds.

3. Postdoctoral fellow:  Assignment of Postdoctoral Fellows (300,000-600,000 JPY/month, up to about 6) with research funds (up to 1,500,000 JPY/year).
