Concept of the Specimen
- Two cases: (1) triple pendulum isolators at each column (above
left figure) and (2)
conventional fixed base configuration (above right figures)
- Columns: box steel section (BCR295)
- Girders：H-shaped steel section（SN490B）
- Frame(column and girder) will be used repeatedly.
- Moment connection by through-diaphragm detail.
- End of girder: reinforced by horizontal haunch (from previous
experiments)
- Column base is rigidly connected to deep steel foundation beam.
- Non-structural components : ALC wall, aluminum curtain wall,
sash window, steel door, dry partition wall, ceiling
Shaking plan
- Three dimensional loading using earthquake ground acceleration
records (details to be finalized).
